SAN ILDEFONSO POTTERY : THIS IS ITEM#2 IN MY WEEKLY AUCTION Signed by Isabel and still has the original paper label from the San Ildefonso Pueblo. This pot has some wear from use and lime deposits and minor scratching. There is no damage that is major. It is 4"T and 3 1/4"W

STONELAIN POTTERY DUCK : This is the rarest of all the Stonelain items, being a figurine. It is signed by carl Walters as the maker and also has his decorators mark in black. Carl Walters is probably the best artist for Stonlain, his work is displayed in these Museums: Whitney Museum N.Y., Metropolitan Museum of Art, Art Institute of Chicago, Minneapolis institute of Arts, Museum of Modern Art N.Y.
A memorial exhibition was held after his death in 1955 at Museum of Art in Ogunquit, Maine.
In 1978 the Everson Museum of Art held an exhibition and published a booklet on his works.
as you can see, an extemely talented artist.
The head was broken off and glued back, but there was no material loss. This is a very rare example of Stonelain Pottery.
